MAC students,Daisy Thor-Poet, Kath Millis and Ming Thor-Poet all of Year 10 are heading to Vietnam and with a bit of luck (and after a lot of hard work) perhaps London.
Following their success last year they have reconfirmed their top film making status by winning the same competition again this year. The Kids Witness News competition run globally by Panasonic.

When Finlay Woods started making a film about his college mate, who knew what it would lead to? His film "Shimmer" came a close second in this years annual Mountain Film Festival, held here in Wanaka.
The short film features MAC student Cody Tucker who is currently New Zealand's best Wake Skater (a water sport based on combining wake boarding and skate boarding) bar one.
Everybody at MAC knows that we are lucky to be in the heart of the beautiful South Island with its majestic national parks. OP has been a big part of the education here since the school opened.
The quality of this education has just been rewarded by being acknowledged as being the Best Outdoor Education Programme, in the 2011 Outdoor Excellence Awards.

Four Mount Aspiring Students, Abigael Ayre, Ashley Campbell, Sina Schaal and Elle Scurr who formed the company 'Back Black', collected five out of seven of the young Enterprise Scheme Southern Regional Awards.
