High School Programme

Integrated High School Programme

Students may combine tuition in English as a Second Language with school subjects from the New Zealand college curriculum, and gain credits towards NZQA (New Zealand Qualifications Authority) qualifications.Click here for the curriculum handbook which includes all the courses offered at the college. The high school programme offers ideal preparation for a student who wishes to go to university in New Zealand or any other English speaking country. As well as NZQA qualifications we offer the following internationally recognised qualifications:

  • Pitman’s Basic, Elementary, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced.
  • Cambridge FCE, PET, CAE and CPE.
  • IELTS qualification (the prerequisite for immigration and entry into either Polytechnic or University).
  • TOEFL and TOEIC, an alternative prerequisite for some universities and polytechnics.

Homestay accommodation is arranged by the college. All homestays provide a private bedroom, three meals a day, and care and attention to foster the student’s well-being. Living with a Wanaka family allows the students to practice conversational English while experiencing the New Zealand lifestyle.
